How do you keep track of your guided reading groups? Do you have a system for making sure all of the materials are ready to go and easily accessed? Please share any tips or ideas you have concerning organization!
Here are some of the things I have tried in order to keep everything organized and easily accessible: (Jenn)
I have a basket for the three adults that includes the schedule, the lesson/goal for each group, necessary materials, as well as useful utensils, sticky notes, bookmarks, etc. When the two other adults enter the room, they pick up their basket and know where to go in the room.
I also have a crate that contains files of graphic organizers, DRA tasks, and tasks sheets that can be applied in various guided reading activities. I try to keep these stocked so that I have a variety of tools on hand, which is especially useful if I realize my original plan is not working! *L*
